Delete your account
You can request deletion of your account and salon data here, even if you have uninstalled the app or your trial or subscription has ended. Opening this page does not delete anything.
Send a deletion request
Email us from your account email address, including your salon name. We will verify that the account belongs to you and confirm the next steps before deleting it. Never send your password, card details or client records.
Email my deletion requestIf the button does not open your email app, send your request to hello@thehairdressersdiary.com. We will confirm by email when deletion is complete.
What is removed?
Your sign-in account, salon diary, client details, appointments, visit notes and formulas, loyalty history, stored photographs and public booking page. An attached Stripe subscription is cancelled when the account is deleted.
This cannot be undone. Download any backup you need first. Copies you have exported or saved to your own device or another service are yours to manage.
Subscribed through Google Play?
Account deletion and store subscription cancellation are separate. Uninstalling the app or requesting deletion does not automatically stop a Google Play subscription. Open Google Play → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, select The Hairdresser's Diary and choose Cancel subscription. Use the Google account that made the purchase.
Open Google Play subscriptions. If you cannot find it, tell us in your deletion request so we can help. We do not require payment or the end of your subscription period before accepting a deletion request.
For store-linked accounts, we also check associated RevenueCat customer information as part of the deletion request. Removing that information is not a refund or a cancellation of the subscription held by Google Play or Apple.
Subscribed through Apple?
Deleting your diary account, requesting deletion or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select The Hairdresser's Diary and cancel renewal. You can also open Apple subscriptions. You do not need to wait for your subscription to end before requesting account deletion.
Inside the iPhone app, open More → Privacy and your account → Delete my account. This is available even if your trial or subscription has expired. Read the confirmation carefully and download any backup you need before permanent deletion.
Only want particular information removed?
You can keep your account and ask us to remove particular information instead. Email us from your account address with your salon name and a brief description of your request; please do not attach private client records. Individual client and photo deletion controls are also available in the diary.
What may be retained?
Payment providers may retain transaction records for legal, tax, security or dispute purposes. Database recovery copies follow a rolling seven-day backup window. Separate encrypted photo-backup copies, where held, are scheduled to expire 45 days after creation, with protection against deletion for their first 35 days. Provider expiry runs asynchronously. Backup copies are not part of the active diary; completed deletion requests must be reapplied before restored data is put back into use. See our privacy notice for more information.
Prefer to do it yourself?
If you can open your web diary, go to More → Privacy and control → Delete my account. You will need your current password and must explicitly confirm the deletion.
