Who provides the service

The Hairdresser’s Diary is a trading name used by Joe Walsh, operating as a self-employed business in Spain. The full operator and contact information is available in the Legal Notice.

The service

The Hairdresser’s Diary provides a private client-record and appointment diary for independent hairdressers and salon professionals. It is supplied for professional and business use. The account holder remains responsible for appointment decisions, professional records, client consent and lawful use of personal information.

Account registration

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your sign-in details secure. An account is for one salon business and must not be shared publicly or used to access another salon's information. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

14-day free trial

No payment method is required to begin the trial and no charge is made automatically. The trial provides full diary access for 14 days. If no payment method has been added when it ends, access is locked but the account records remain stored. You can choose to continue for £4.99 per month through Stripe and unlock the same diary again.

Paid subscription

The subscription renews monthly until cancelled. The price shown at checkout is the total recurring subscription price and any applicable tax information is displayed before payment. Stripe handles card and billing details; The Hairdresser’s Diary does not store complete card numbers.

Cancellation

You can cancel through the secure billing portal inside your diary. If you add a payment method during the trial, cancelling before its end prevents the first monthly payment. After a paid renewal, access normally continues until the end of the current paid period. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically delete your salon records.

Deleting an account

The account holder can permanently delete the account from the privacy controls inside the diary after confirming the current password. Account deletion immediately cancels an attached subscription and removes the salon diary, clients, appointments, visits, loyalty history, photographs and public booking page. This cannot be undone, so you should download any backup you need first. Stripe may retain payment records that must be kept for legal, tax, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

Your salon records

You control the client information added to your diary and are responsible for having a lawful reason to record it. You should obtain any consent required for photographs, allergy details, treatment information or other sensitive notes. Export tools are provided so you can keep a separate copy of important business records.

Data processing terms

When The Hairdresser’s Diary stores client records on your behalf, the separate Data Processing Terms form part of this agreement. They explain our processor responsibilities, security measures, approved service providers, assistance with client rights and what happens to records when the service ends.

Fair use

You must not use the service unlawfully, upload harmful material, attempt to bypass security, interfere with the service, resell access without permission or use the diary to store information unrelated to genuine salon work.

Availability

We work to keep The Hairdresser’s Diary reliable, but maintenance, technical faults and circumstances outside our reasonable control can occasionally interrupt access. We do not promise that the service will always be uninterrupted. Please keep periodic exports of information that is essential to your business.

Liability

The Hairdresser’s Diary is an organisational tool and does not replace professional judgement or legally required salon records. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect business losses or decisions made from information entered by an account holder. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension or closure

We may restrict or close an account where it is used unlawfully, threatens the security of the service, seriously breaches these terms or has an unpaid subscription. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to export records first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated within the service or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means the updated terms apply.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any mandatory rights and jurisdiction rules that apply to you remain unaffected. Questions or complaints can be sent to walsh2695@hotmail.com. We will aim to respond promptly and resolve concerns informally where possible.

Referral offers

Referral links may identify the person who introduced a subscriber. Referral payments do not increase the subscriber's price unless a separate price or discount is clearly shown at checkout.
